Soo-Jin Kang, MD, PhD
Soo-Jin Kang is a co-founder of AtheroSoft with 15+ years of experience in IVUS-derived PCI optimization. She founded the company to address unmet needs in the cath lab by developing software that enables the extraction of clinically important parameters in real time. She is a Professor of Cardiology at Asan Medical Center, specializing in coronary imaging and hemodynamics. She is the lead or corresponding author of 60+ SCI-indexed publications, including 9 corresponding-author papers in cardiovascular AI, and holds 10 international and domestic patents.
Hyungjoo Cho, PhD
Hyungjoo Cho is a co-founder of AtheroSoft and the developer of the core algorithms behind OMNIVUS. He is the first author of 4 papers and holds 4 international patents related to this work. He received his Ph.D. in Medical AI from Seoul National University and previously worked as an AI scientist at LG Electronics, DeepBio, and Tomocube. During this period, he published 9 first-author papers and 30+ co-authored papers, including works in Nature Cell Biology and NeurIPS. At AtheroSoft, he currently focuses on AI reliability and robustness to enhance clinician usability and enable robust clinical generalization.
Sangwook Kim
Sangwook Kim is the Head of AI at AtheroSoft, leading the development of an IVUS foundation model. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Korea University and is a Ph.D. candidate in Medical AI at the University of Toronto. He previously conducted research at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, University Health Network (Canada) and collaborated with Seoul National University Hospital and Severance Radiology. He is the lead author of 7 papers and 20+ conference papers, including MICCAI and Radiology AI, and specializes in cardiovascular multimodal data analysis algorithms.
Jihyeong Yoo
Jihyeong Yoo is the Head of Engineering at AtheroSoft, leading AI software development and system implementation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Yonsei University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from HKUST. He previously worked as a Researcher at Tomocube and as an AI Team Lead at Genesis Lab, where he led the acquisition of a national AI reliability certification. He is the author of 7 papers, including ICML, EuroIntervention, and JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, and has extensive experience in end-to-end AI software development projects.
